Overview

Face-to-face DESMOND is currently unavailable due to the Covid-19 outbreak. We will be resuming face-to-face programmes when applicable to do so.

Virtual DESMOND is an online interactive group-based diabetes education programme for people with Type 2 diabetes. Based on the award winning DESMOND face-to-face structured programme, the course provides an opportunity to learn more about diabetes and equip you with the knowledge and skills to self manage your diabetes, from the comfort of your own home. Facilitated by 2 trained DESMOND Educators within an online group setting, over a day in 3 x 2 hour sessions. The video call will take place over Microsoft Teams – a link and further information will be sent in your invitation email/letter. Video and microphone function is desirable for group participation.
