DESMOND, whether accessed online or face-to-face sets out to answer key questions and provide some tools to support your understanding and self-management.

What is diabetes? What causes Type 2 diabetes? What do all the tests mean? What can I eat?

Single full day session (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays) or 2 shorter evening  sessions (Fridays).

Face-to-face sessions: Fridays 9am-4pm

Virtual sessions: Via Microsoft Teams 3x shorter evening sessions (Wednesdays).

Overview

Desmond is commissioned by the Surrey Heartlands ICB and run by a small group of trained Desmond facilitators.  The groups are friendly, interactive and aimed at providing you with the tools to effectively self-manage your diabetes.
