The Implementation Team at the Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Hannah Walters

The Implementation team at the Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC) are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Hannah Walters to the position of Education and Research Facilitator. 

Hannah has a Nutrition, Health and Lifestyles (NHL) degree from Sheffield Hallam University and is an accredited DESMOND Educator. Her most recent role at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a Diabetes Educator, saw Hannah being involved in the coordinating and delivery of the DESMOND programme across Nottinghamshire County.

Hannah’s new position as Education and Research Facilitator will involve responding to ‘Ask the Expert’ questions within the MyDESMOND app, whilst commencing the pathway to become a DESMOND trainer and assessor.  

Hannah commented

“I have a keen interest in patient education and service development and I am looking forward to being able to offer support to DESMOND educators and sites within my new role at the LDC.”
