Delivering DESMOND with one Accredited Educator
The DESMOND National Team acknowledges that the gold-standard for DESMOND delivery continues to be the delivery by two trained Educators. However, we recognise and appreciate that this may pose a challenge for some DESMOND sites for several reasons.
We are aware sites are looking to explore other options to ensure the DESMOND programme continues to be delivered in their local area.
One of the options currently being explored by the DESMOND National Team is the possibility of sites delivering DESMOND with just one accredited Educator.
The DESMOND National Team has held focus groups with DESMOND Educators from sites across the UK and a guidance document has been produced to support any DESMOND sites considering delivering DESMOND courses with one accredited Educator.
